Why do I need Landlord insurance in Ontario?
Landlords in Ontario are not required to purchase insurance for their investment properties. However we recommend landlord insurance in order to protect your investments. This insurance protects the structure of the building, protects the building owner from any liability claims and can potentially protect rental income should an insured peril cause a tenant to evacuate the dwelling.
